There are many different ways to sponsor or support, depending on the parties involved and the objectives. If you are interested, have any questions, comments, or ideas, please contact info@xlr-8.ch

We can offer a large variety of advertising surfaces, as on parachutes and jump-wear, media appearances, photographs and video footage, demo-jumps, links on xlr-8.ch, our personal advice, and more. We are looking for quality skydiving gear and accessories, including cameras, as well as financing for the freefly school and other XLR-8 projects.

Para Centro Locarno PARA CENTRO LOCARNOPara Centro Locarno

In early 1997, when in Europe Freeflying meant nothing more than a few pictures seen on videos or in magazines, the best professional Drop-Zone in Switzerland gave me (Tazio) some concrete conditions to start a freefly coaching program and I founded the XLR-8 Freefly School. Today we can all tell this has been a smart choice. Compared with major DZs around the world, the freefly scene at Para Centro Locarno has an excellent technical and educational standard. The DZ is located in the beautiful and weather friendly southern part of Switzerland. It offers excellent services provided by a high-rated professional staff: pilots, riggers, instructors and a welcoming staff are just some of the ingredients of a winning 30+ year old company!

High Performance Research (HiPeR Canopies)NITRO 78High Performance Research

I have done many thousands of jumps with HiPeR canopies and I'm still amazed by their great performance! The Nitro and the Blade are very peculiar canopies, different than any other 9-cell elliptical. The lineset is very short and has no cascades, creating the feeling that canopy and body are a whole. The resulting greater responsiveness to fine harness-input, at both low and high speed, allows for amazingly sharp & precise swirling around. The winglets on the top sides help keeping a fluent flight-line and a straight deployment, furthermore they reduce side-sliding and over-turning. The Nitro and the Blade are also impressive flown on full brakes (even with high wing-loads such as 2.2). Enjoy it from opening to landing! :-)

Sun Path (JAVELIN)JAVELIN RIG (& HAWKEYE camera-helmet)Sun Path

Since the beginning of my skydiving career I've been jumping many different containers/harnesses. In the last ten years I've followed the evolution of the most popular ones' designs and concepts, with the great opportunity to be able to compare and choose the best for my professional needs. My ultimate choice is for the latest version of the Javelin because it fully meets my straightedge requirements: safety and quality, simplicity and efficiency, comfort and esthetics.
It's amazing how the Javelin perfectly fits in any position you are (it's like flying free;-) And it's definitely safe and friendly in any radical freefall situation. No flaps will open! Its simple design allows fast and easy packing of both main and reserve. I love it:-)

Arrow Dynamics Inc - Aviator & Hawkeye Skydiving HelmetsAVIATOR HELMETArrow Dynamics Inc.

Regardless of the type of flying, wearing a hard helmet is a wise choice. The risk of being hit in freefall is always there, whether you're pushing the limits or if you're just learning. Furthermore with such a helmet you'll hear the audible altimeter much better. Arrow Dynamics Inc. offers a wide range of glass fiber helmets for any skydiving discipline. At XLR-8 we're enjoying both the Navigator (freefly-helmet) and the Hawkeye (camera-helmet). They come in five sizes with many options on colors and features. If you're looking for a versatile and ready-to-jump camera-helmet, get the Hawkeye!

L&B - Audible Altimeters & Freefall ComputersL&B - Audible Altimeters & Freefall ComputersLarson & Brusgaard

Nowadays there are no doubts about the worthiness of jumping with an audible altimeter. After aircraft and rig, this is a must-have instrument for any skydiving discipline. Altitude control and/or awareness will ever stay as the major safety condition! Larsen & Brusgaard has developed some nice and tiny devices that greatly do the job (easy to mount, loud! and endurance-reliable): the Pro-Dytter and the Pro-Track. More than just an audible altimeter, the Pro-Track also includes some luxury digital options (LCD-display, log-book, speed data, customizable features, Jump-Track software and PC-interface...)
